The good, the bad and the ugly

On their website Look magazine has compiled a selection of the 100 most memorable dress of the decade. Here are a few of my favourites:

Sans Regrets (no regrets!)

I can't believe I didn't see this until after Christmas! Its an Advent Calendar from Selfridges which has soooo many gorgeous products in it - there are products from YSL, Lancome, Giorgio Armani, Kiehl's, Shu Uemura, Viktor & Rolf and Stella McCartney!! What a unique way to count down to Christmas - can you imagine opening your advent calendar and rather than getting a little chocolate you would have a Armani mascara or some Viktor & Rolf perfume. That would be bliss..........its does cost £60.00 though hee hee!

New Years Eve

Well, I don't post anything for two weeks and then I do three in one day!

On New Years Eve we went to our local Chicago's as its really cheap (£7 for a bottle of rose!) and cheerful in there. We all had a really good night as my hangover confirmed the next day!

I wore a black sparkly dress from H&M (the glitter went EVERYWHERE though grrr!)

and my gorgoeous Carvela shoes that my hubby got me for my birthday

(I have no idea what was going on here!)

Christmas Day

I feel like I have been really slacking with this blog lately - I haven't even posted the photos of my Christmas decorations even though I took loads and posted them on facebook so all my friends could see them! I stuck to the silver theme that we have every year but after seeing the Tiffancy tree when we went ice skating I felt like our tree was abit bare so me and the hubby made a quick trip to our local Homebase store and bought loads more! Here are some closeups of the tree - unfortunately we have a small one (about 5'') and stand it on one of our coffee tables, this is to stop our cats and our dog from demolishing it! It looked really pretty and I thought it met my Tiffany-esque expectations!

My lovely hubby is a fireman and since he joined the fire brigade he hasn't had a Christmas day off work as usually if he is due a day off he swaps shifts with someone else who has young children. But this year he was home so we went round to his Mum's for lots of food and drink - I felt so ill after eating so much that I thought I was gonna pop!

I'm baaack!

Wow - I havent written a post for aaggeess!! I finished work on Christmas eve and then our office didn't reopen until the 4th January so I have had a lovely break. Didn't get up to very much - found that I needed alot of sleep so just had long lie-ins then monged around the house!

I went out on Christmas eve with my bestest girlies - we even had an honorary girly, Nick, as it was his birthday so we couldn't leave him out! We were going to go out in fancy dress and I had a whole outfit planned - I was going to go out dressed as a Christmas fairy with some lovely white feather wings and a white lace dress but at the last minute we chickened out which turned out to be a good thing as no-one else was in fancy dress apart from two girls who looked like tramps!!

We had such a good time and then it was home to bed in time for Santa to sneak in and deliver our presents!  Rather than overload this post I'm going to dedicate a new one to Christmas day - one of my favourite days of the year!

Shoe porn (Part 9)

Last but definitely not least is the simply named Kurt Geiger range - these are quite expensive (range from about £200.00 upwards). Be still my beating heart!

Still with the Kurt Geiger theme - this time it is the KG range which I think is their more affordable but abit more grown up range. Once again, I need all of these in my life hee hee!

I havent done a shoe porn post for a while so I got abit overexcited when looking at the Kurt Geiger website! There will be two more posts to come.

Miss KG - this is the Kurt Geiger range which is aimed at the younger customer (wish I could have afforded their prices when I was younger!). I love love love all of these and need them in my life!

Primark ss11 collection

I've been seeing lots of posts about Primarks ss11 collection - there are some beautiful pieces but unfortunately they are not due to come out until next year! Here are a few of my favourites:

How precious is this! Perfect for next year's summer holiday - lovin the 50's vibe.

Dont really like these two together but seperately they are hot! Particularly like the skirt - maybe with some yummy red heels to pick out the red poppies in the skirt.

LOVE THIS! This is actually a dress - it looks so elegant and is completely on trend,

especially the mid length

Really like these - they remind me of the Miu Miu shoes (similar chunky shape). I think these would be a staple item for next summer as they would go with everything and the chunky heel would make them really comfy to walk in.

Star Sparkles

I've been looking around for a really sparkly nail varnish but that hasn't got big bits of glitter in it. I've found this one by Nubar:

Its called Star Sparkles (hence the post title!) and its No G180. Think this looks just the ticket - its £8.00 from a website called Beauty Shed which is quite expensive for a nail varnish but I suppose you could use it for lots of different nail looks.
